Dates for your Diary

Monday 6^th – Friday 10^th February

Bibleworld will be visiting Bearsden from 6^th - 10^th February. This is the mobile unit owned by the Scottish Bible Society that helps school kids explore the message of the Bible today. In order to aid a successful visit we require some volunteers to help the kids during their sessions on the trailer. Some supervisory work is required and those who volunteer for this should hold a Disclosure certificate. We also need volunteers to help set up and pack up at the beginning and end of the week (no Disclosure necessary for this). Some moving and lifting required (but not too onerous). Please see the Pastor if you can help.

There will be an open evening to view the Bibleworld trailer on Thursday 9^th February from 1830-2030. All are welcome to come and have a look at what has been happening during the week. The trailer will be situated in Bearsden Academy car park.

Thursday 16^th February

Just Scripture: Contextual Bible Study with Christian Aid. Reading the Bible closely, together and discussing it’s significance in our local and global context. New Kilpatrick Parish Church , 7-9pm. Release International would like to invite you to a special Scottish event, a special opportunity to meet our Central Asian partner, 'Pavel'.

Sat 18th Feb in Yoker Evangelical Church 2420 Dumbarton Road , Yoker, G14 0QL
A light breakfast will be provided at 9.30am and our morning will finish at 12.30pm.
Our special guests will be an Asian sister who is a Human Rights lawyer, and a Pakistani psychologist who will be sharing about her life and will give an Asian cookery demonstration. We will focus on the plight of Christian women across the world.

Saturday 25^th/Sunday 26^th February

We will be celebrating the Church anniversary over the weekend of 25^th/26^th February.

Tuesday 28^th February

There will be a Church Business meeting at 7.30pm in the Muir's house.

There will not be any other midweek evening studies that week.

Mary Campbell’s funeral will be on Monday 6^th February, 2.30pm at Clydebank Crematorium. Please continue to pray for the family and pray that the service on Monday will be a powerful witness to the gospel as we celebrate Mary’s life and faith.

Announcements

Pre-Service Prayer times

There are pre-service prayer times in the dining room. Before the morning service they start at 10.15am and before the evening service at 6.00pm. All welcome to attend.

Church Prayer Chain

Please remember to make use of the Prayer Chain. The person to contact is Nan Cordiner . If she is not available contact Susan Campbell or Jenny Tosh.

Recording of Sunday Services

All services are recorded onto audio cassette. If you miss a service, part of a series, or found a particular service special and you would like a copy cassette, please either fill in the tape request sheet which is on the table at the back of church or ask Ken or Susan Campbell. There is no charge for these copy cassettes. A few services are now available digitally and available for download by clicking here

Notices

Church notices are available to be sent out as email once per week. If you would like to receive 'E-notices' please see David Ritchie or email notices at castlehillbaptist.org.uk for your name & email to be added to the list. This circulation list may also be used to send out other communications from the church, and may from time to time include circulations from other organisations outwith the church, such as Baptist Union of Scotland.

Can we please ask that people reverse their cars into the car parking spaces. This will help with safety in the car park after the services.
