Dates for your Diary

  • Saturday 15th November

There will be a Prayer Walk starting off from the Abbotsford car park at 10:30am. The aim of the walk is to highlight our mission statement, to pray for our area, be a light in a dark place and for God to be glorified.

Everyone is welcome to come along where possible.

  • On Tuesday 11th November East Dunbartonshire Council in partnership with BBC Learning will be hosting an event from 10am - 12noon to commemorate those who lost their lives in World War One at Brookwood Library, 166 Drymen Road, Bearsden, Glasgow G61 3RJ. Everyone is invited to come, share and remember.

A memorial service will be held at  Bearsden War Memorial where at 11am the two minute silence will be observed and then local school pupils will read the names of the fallen and a short personal history of named soldiers.

  • Church Magazine

The latest issue of the church magazine is now available. Please remember to uplift a copy.

  • Pam Parratt has asked if the people who usually give to Tear Fund Children at Risk would like to do so this month. Pleas mark it clearly and either give it to Sarah, or via the offering. Cheques made payable to Castlehill Baptist.

  • Livewires Coffee Morning:

Thank you to all who supported the Livewires coffee morning on Saturday 25th October, and a special thanks to the Preston ’s who hosted the event.  At the last count we raised a total of £222 for PEPE in Angola (Lynne Brown).

  • Recording of Sunday Services

  • All services are recorded onto audio cassette. If you miss a service, part of a series, or found a particular service special and you would like a copy cassette, please either fill in the tape request sheet which is on the table at the back of church or ask Ken or Susan Campbell. There is no charge for these copy cassettes  

  • Fellowship Fund

  • This continues to be used to give to families in need within the church. If you would like to give money to this Fund, please put it on the plate marked for this purpose at the back of the church, or put it in the offering in an envelope marked “Fellowship Fund”. Tax payers can use the Gift Aid envelopes or put their blue envelope number on the envelope if so desired. 

  •  

  • If you have any contributions for the weekly notices, please let Grant Brooks or David Ritchie know by Thursday evening. These can also be emailed to notices at castlehillbaptist.org.uk
