THE BOYS’ BRIGADE – 1st BEARSDEN COMPANY  77th ANNUAL CONCERT

“The story is based loosely on the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life” (1946, starring James Stewart – Best Movie, Best Actor, Best Director at the 1946 Oscars). The main character, George Bailey, goes through a series of disasters (failing an X-Factor audition, having problems at work and problems at home, and then the final straw is Scotland failing to qualify for the World Cup!) He wants to get away from all his problems by flying to the moon as part of a scientific experiment he heard about. However, Clarence the angel shows George what life will be like without him and what he will miss out on. This helps George realise that things weren’t so bad after all – you need to stick around and deal with what life throws at you and try to get positive results!”
