Dates for your Diary

  • Monday 15th June

The Monday Bible study will have their last meeting of the term in the Muir's house . There will be a time of prayer and snacks – All welcome. Meetings will resume again next term but welcome to join with Jims summer Tuesdays evening group when advertised.

  • Funeral

The funeral of Gordon Inglis will take place in the Dalnottar Crematorium on Tuesday 16th June at 11.30 am, followed by a service of thanksgiving at St. David’s Church, Knighstwood at 12.30 pm. All welcome. Our thoughts and prayers are with Hilda and Graeme at this time.

  • Thursday 18th June

This year the Scottish Baptist College will be holding its annual thanksgiving service at Central Baptist Church , Paisley on Thursday 18th June at 7.30pm. All are welcome to attend this service. The speaker will be the Rev. Brian More, minister of Newton Mearns Baptist Church .

The address on the evening will relate to issues of ministry and church life in our present Scottish Baptist context. It is a genuine encouragement to the College Community and in particular to the students to see and have a good support from churches on this occasion.

  • Friday 19th June

African Children's Choir

This choir of 23 youngsters from South Africa is coming to present a concert in Bearsden Baptist Church at 7.30pm.  It will be a lively and colourful evening of music and dance, and all are welcome to come and join us.  There will be no charge for entry, but an offering for the choir will be taken up during the evening.  For further details call John Craib on 0141 563 7830 or check out their website at www.africanchildrenschoir.com.

  •  Monday 29th June – Friday 3rd July

Showstoppers Holiday Club

Bearsden Baptist Church are running an exciting holiday club in the church every day from 10 am to 12 noon from Monday 29th June to Friday 3rd July.  All children who are currently in P1 to P7 are welcome to come and join us for a week of games, drama, creative arts based around a Bible theme.  For further details and application forms call John or Carina Craib on 0141 563 7830.

  •  Summer Club

Please note that this year's Summer Club is due to take place between Monday 27th to Friday 31st July.  Please mark this date in your diary especially as it is one week earlier than in previous years.  The deacons have made this change so as to avoid clashing with other local churches.

  •  Summer notices

There will be a summer edition of the notices issued on Sunday 28th June. If you have details of any event, service, Bible study venue’s etc that you wish included in the bulletin, could you let David Ritchie now by Thursday 25th June. Don’t worry if you miss this date and later wish an event announced. Late additions can be sent round by the weekly notices email.

  • Church Prayer Chain

Please remember to make use of the Prayer Chain.  The person to contact is Nan Cordiner . If she is not available contact Susan Campbell or Jenny Tosh.

  • Recording of Sunday Services

All services are recorded onto audio cassette. If you miss a service, part of a series, or found a particular service special and you would like a copy cassette, please either fill in the tape request sheet which is on the table at the back of church or ask Ken or Susan Campbell or e-mail susan.campbell7@btinternet.com. There is no charge for these copy cassettes.

  • Notices

Church notices are available to be sent out as email once per week. If you would like to receive 'E-notices' please see David Ritchie or email notices at castlehillbaptist.org.uk for your name & email to be added to the list. This circulation list may also be used to send out other communications from the church, and may from time to time include circulations from other organisations outwith the church, such as Baptist Union of Scotland.

  • Can we please ask that people reverse their cars into the car parking spaces. This will help with safety in the car park after the services.

  •  

  • If you have any contributions for the weekly notices, please let Grant Brooks or David Ritchie know by Thursday evening. These can also be emailed to notices at castlehillbaptist.org.uk
